Commercial Truck Mileage & Diesel Cost Calculator
Calculate mileage (km/L), diesel spend and cost per kilometre from your own figures. Enter distance and diesel consumed over the same period, plus the price per litre.
How to calculate truck mileage
Use distance and diesel consumed over the same period. A full-tank-to-full-tank measurement gives a more useful comparison than a single top-up, which may leave fuel in the tank.
- Mileage: distance in kilometres ÷ diesel consumed in litres.
- Diesel spend: litres × price per litre. If rates differ between fills, use total actual spend rather than one pump rate.
- Fuel cost per kilometre: diesel spend ÷ distance in kilometres.
Compare the same vehicle on similar routes, loads and operating conditions. Terrain, idling, traffic, maintenance and payload can change the result. The calculator uses your inputs; it does not measure fuel consumption.
Why a pump slip still needs a check
A calculator cannot see whether a slip was photographed twice, whether the litres match the trip, or whether the vehicle was where the bill says it was. JC Fleet keeps the slip with the vehicle record. Hindi and English OCR fills what it can, and unclear results stay in review. A connected vehicle feed can show location, fuel, DEF and odometer beside that record. It does not guarantee that every litre of leakage will be found.
